Services

The work, in full.

A full-service tax, accounting, and consulting practice. Engagements stay specific — we take what we can do well, and we say no to the rest.

Tax

Tax

Returns that are complete, planning that happens before year-end, and representation when the IRS writes.

  • Tax preparation

Individual, business, estate, and trust returns prepared with the supporting work behind them. Multi-state filings included when your life or your company crosses a border.

  • Tax planning

Estimated payments, entity choice, retirement contributions, and year-end moves — timed so you are not making decisions in April with last year’s numbers.

  • Estates and trusts

Form 1041 work, beneficiary reporting, and the practical questions that come with an estate: basis, distributions, and what the return actually needs.

  • Employment tax

Forms 940, 941, and 943 — original filings and amendments. Farm employment tax, household employees, and the cleanup work when prior quarters were missed.

  • Penalty abatement

First-time abatement and reasonable-cause letters when a deposit, a form, or a payment went wrong. The file is built from the facts, not a template.

Business

Business

Books you can run a company on, payroll that deposits on time, and a part-time CFO when you need a second set of eyes.

  • Small business accounting

Monthly close, financial statements, and a chart of accounts that matches how you actually operate — not a generic template that hides the story.

  • Bookkeeping

Accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, deposits, bill pay, and reconciliations. Steady work, done on a calendar, so tax time is a review rather than a reconstruction.

  • Payroll

Payroll processing, tax deposits, quarterly filings, year-end W-2s and 1099s, and the new-hire paperwork that has to be right the first time.

  • Part-time CFO

Cash-flow planning, budget versus actual, bank conversations, and the monthly numbers a owner needs before making the next hire or equipment purchase.

  • Entity and structure

Choice of entity, QJV and partnership questions, and the elections that are easy to miss and expensive to unwind.

QuickBooks

QuickBooks

Setup, cleanup, and training so the file matches the business — and stays that way after we leave the room.

  • Setup

Needs assessment, chart of accounts, opening balances, and a file built for how you invoice, pay bills, and run payroll — Desktop, Online, or Enterprise.

  • Training

Hands-on training for you and your staff: daily entries, bank feeds, reports you will actually use, and the habits that keep the file clean.

  • Tune-up

A diagnostic pass before tax time or a review: undeposited funds, uncleared transactions, mis-coded accounts, and a punch list to get current.

Organizations

Organizations

Work for entities with a different set of rules — and a board, a membership, or a mission looking over the numbers.

  • Nonprofit accounting

Form 990 series, contribution tracking, restricted funds, and the reporting a board actually needs. Built for 501(c) organizations, not squeezed into a for-profit file.

  • Homeowners’ associations

Fund accounting, reserve schedules, special assessments, and the year-end package directors can stand behind at the annual meeting.

  • Farms and agricultural employers

Schedule F, Form 943, and the employment-tax pattern that farm payroll actually follows — including the amendments when prior years were filed as if it were a 941 shop.

  • Professional practices

Law firms, and other closely held practices, where partner draws, trust or operating splits, and K-1s have to reconcile to the books.

Questions

Before you call.

Do you take on new clients mid-year?+

Yes. Mid-year is often the right time — books can be caught up, estimates reset, and payroll put on a calendar before year-end. The first conversation is free.

Do I meet with you, or with a staff preparer?+

With me. This is a small practice on purpose. If a return needs a specialist I do not handle, I will tell you so rather than stretch the engagement.

Can you take over a QuickBooks file that is a mess?+

That is a common engagement. We diagnose the file, repair what is worth repairing, and rebuild what is not — then train whoever is making the daily entries.

Do you file employment-tax amendments?+

Yes. Forms 941-X, 943-X, and 940 amendments, including cases that also need a penalty-abatement request.

Are you taking 2026 planning work now?+

Yes. Estimated taxes, retirement contributions, entity questions, and year-end timing should be on the calendar before December — not after the books close.
